Folsom Street Fair- A New Experience
Yesterday (Sunday September 24th) I went to Berkeley to see one of Farsi blogers friends. She is a really nice and smart woman and I had a great time there.
We drank a beer in Berkeley and then we went to San Francisco to attend in a street fair called Folsom Street Fair.
It was my first time to be in a gay fair. However I always wanted to be in a gay parade, but never had the chance.
It was not a gay parade yesterday, but it was like that. In Folsom Street, there are lots of leader shops that have specials customs for gays. Basically this fair is their annual party. Or as it comes in their official website “Folsom Street Events is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization serving the adult San Francisco alternative communities. Through the production of street fairs, Folsom Street Events promotes diversity within the leather/alternative lifestyle, highlighting entertainment, service and vendors. Proceeds from the production of the fairs are distributed to organizations which promote a sense of community, diversity, cooperation, health and human services.”
I saw lots of naked (by naked I mean naked) men and women, adult toys and customs, and experience different culture.
For me, it was like being in a theater. I couldn’t believe that I saw those entire scenes by my eyes. I am not against gays and accept them as they are ( it is as much stupid as saying I accept a human because they are human), but as I told it was just a new environment that I ‘ve never experienced before.
You can see more pictures here. I took more than 100 pictures, but I need to resize them to up load here.
I have to say that, being in the real place it is hell different to see pictures.
I have to write about Iraninan's opinion ( moslty) about gays too.
